K-1 visa eligibility checklist

For your fiancé to be approved for a K-1 visa, they need to reach specific eligibility requirements, including:
The sponsoring partner must be a U.S. citizen
You must both be currently unmarried
The U.S. citizen must meet certain income requirements
You need to provide evidence that your relationship is legitimate (this can include written statements from friends, communications between the couple, proof of travels/vacations taken together, photographs etc.)
Each partner must provide a signed statement indicating an intent to marry within the 90 days after entry into the U.S.
You must be able to prove that you have met in person at least once in the last two years
